Iowa Chargers FC was founded out of a lifelong passion for the game.  The club's owner has been immersed in football since childhood, playing  competitively and recreationally for over 25 years. With natural talent  and dedication, he often dreamed of a professional career—an opportunity  that wasn’t available to him due to the lack of a clear pathway at the  time.

Motivated by this experience, he set out to create what he never had:  a platform where talented players could develop, compete, and pursue  semi-professional or professional opportunities. What began as Cedar United has now evolved into Iowa Chargers FC, a bold rebranding that reflects a new era of growth, ambition, and competitive focus.

Now competing at the semi-pro level, Iowa Chargers FC is committed to  empowering the next generation of players—providing high-level  training, exposure, and the support needed to take their game as far as  their talent and drive can carry them.
